I stayed here on Wednesday 14th Jan, I arrived later at about 8:30pm had to wait about 5 mins before anyone appeared in reception. Went to my room and the room smelt very sweet not sure what it was!
Woke in the morning to find that no hot water was available - had a wash using the water from the kettle -(running late) went to the checkout and was asked how my stay was? I informed the member of staff that no hot water was available to be told that she had called out an engineer at 7am and at 7;15 it was fixed - at 8am when i left the room still no hot water was available. I was then informed that it was not her fault she had done all she could - I did point out that may be the water heating system may have been old or not correctly maintained thus resulting in a breakdown - again this was not her fault. I did say that I though that I shouldn't pay and I was about to say "the full amount" but was told that that was my choice and she couldn't force me to pay. I did try to explain my disappointment and how simple monitors can sense problems with heating systems and call out engineers before the whole system turns ice cold.
Another downside was that the toilet bowl was very stained below the water line and that it was impossible to get the toilet seat to stay up due to the fish handle.

Arriving mid afternoon we were easily and efficiently checked in. The room was pleasant and very quiet considering the closeness to the M1 Motorway, we did not hear or were not disturbed by it all. After an evening out with friends we returned and slept well before arising in the morning to find a great Buffet Breakfast. The food was hot and well cooked and the choices of all parts, from cereal to fruit

Hotel was OK, staff very friendly and attentive, but the place just has no ambience. Maybe not helped by limited number of guests in residence.
